Many of our customer’s request custom phasing lines for antennas other than Directive Systems. To be clear, our “phasing lines” are electrically equal lengths of 50-ohm coax and are intended to be used with a power divider. Except on 6 meters, we do not use 75-ohm coax as transformers.
We use high quality double-shielded foam dielectric coax made by Advanced Digital and it is identical to LMR-400. We use high quality PTFE insulated crimp connectors and the rear of the connector is sealed with sealant infused heat activated heat shrink tubing for years of trouble free service.
We are more than happy to make any lines you need and here is the information we require in order to get you the correct lengths:
- Connector type at both ends (default is always Male Type N)
- Distance from the connector on your antenna to the boom-to-mast plate
- Stacking distance between the two antennas
When looking at our Phasing Line part numbers, a DSE5PL would be a pair of 5-foot phasing lines; whereas, a DSE20PL would be a pair of 20-foot phasing lines. For anything not on our list, please contact us.
What are power dividers and phasing lines and how are they used?
When you want to stack antennas for higher gain/sharper pattern, the antennas must be fed in phase for the two signals to add properly. When you connect two 50 ohm antennas together, the impedance drops in half (ohms law). If combining four antennas, the impedance drops to 12.5 ohms. . read more

Directive Systems Warranty Policy
All Directive Systems antennas are built with the finest materials available. We take great pride in building a quality product that will give years of good service and performance. If there is a defect in materials or workmanship within 90 days of purchase, Directive Systems will repair or replace, free of charge, the defective part to the original purchaser. DO NOT RETURN ANYTHING WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION FROM DIRECTIVE SYSTEMS. Please contact us either by phone or email describing the problem and we will work to resolve it.
If, after examining a new antenna you received, you are not satisfied, contact us immediately for return authorization and refund. ANY ANTENNA THAT HAS BEEN MODIFIED WILL BE SUBJECT TO A RESTOCKING CHARGE. IF AN ANTENNA IS SO MODIFIED AS TO MAKE IT UNUSABLE, DIRECTIVE SYSTEMS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO ACCEPT THE ANTENNA FOR RETURN.
